In August 1941, the Germans transformed a pre-war passing loop into a ghetto railway station to ensure that large quantities of supplies and products from the Łódź ghetto could be transported. For more than 140,000 prisoners in the ghetto, this was the last stop before arriving at death, concentration and forced labour camps. During the walk we will recreate the railway station from the times of the ghetto by using archive plans and photographs.
