In 2019, we celebrated the 100^th anniversary of the birth of Marek Edelman - the last leader of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, a collaborator of KOR, the Workers' Defense Committee, the "conscience of solidarity". To honour him, the participants of the educational project "Courier FM" created a mobile exhibition about the life of the patron of the Dialogue Center.

The exhibition, entirely created by high school students from Łódź, focuses on the experiences of Marek Edelman during the war – organizing life in ghettos in Poland and the fight in two uprisings in Warsaw. Each board has a quote from Marek Edelman.

The exhibition uses QR code technology so you can follow it yourself, without the help of a guide.

The exhibition consists of 5 double-sided boards with dimensions of 2 m x 1 m.

The "Courier FM" project was co-financed by the Polish History Museum in Warsaw as part of the "Patriotism of Tomorrow" programme.

Exhibition of selected comic boards from the graphic novel "EDELMAN". In their work, the authors use original photographs to present the life of Marek Edelman as accurately as possible. The publication shows the life of Marek Edelman - a Pole, Jew, doctor, uprising participant, oppositionist, man who always tried to oppose evil and take the side of the weak.

The comic shows Marek Edelman, as a man who repeatedly had to fight for freedom for himself and others. We will also learn about him as an activist of the anti-communist democratic opposition, in which he became involved regardless of the consequences. In the end, the one who experienced free Poland and yet did not remain silent, getting engaged in resolving subsequent conflicts, like the one in former Yugoslavia.

The authors of the comic are a team of experienced artists: Michał Arkusiński - illustrator, Maciej Cholewiński - screenwriter, Piotr Kasiński - screenwriter, Katarzyna Tośta - publication coordinator.

The exhibition consists of 11 comic boards on foam in a 50 x 70 cm format.

In 2017, it was the 75^th anniversary of one of the most tragic events related to the history of World War II. In September 1942, from the ghetto created in Łódź, the Germans ordered all children under the age of 10 to be deported because they were not fit for work.

Although several decades have passed since these tragic events that went down in history under the name Great Szpera, humanity has not drawn conclusions. Despite the establishment of many international institutions to protect the youngest, their rights are continually being violated. Also now there are wars in the world: in Syria, Ukraine, the situation is tense in Asia and children are dying of starvation in Africa.

Artur Chrzanowski, the curator, invited young artists, students and recent graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts and Film School in Łódź and the University of Łódź who were at the start of their career to contribute to the exhibition. The exhibition has been divided into two integral parts. The educational and informational role is fulfilled by the educational part, designed by Weronika Hrynkiewicz, a graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Design and Painting Arts at the Fine Arts Academy in Łódź. The second part of the exhibition is composed of individual artistic statements - interpretations of selected children's rights, created by Magdalena Franczuk, Małgorzata Pawlak, Ada Birecka, Angelika Korzeniowska, Agnieszka Kozi Kozłowska, Agata Wieczorek, and Katarzyna Świstek.

The exhibition "There are no children, there are people. Children's rights are human rights" was created as part of the "Children of the 21st Century" project.

The exhibition was moved to 11 rollups (2m x 1m) thanks to the cooperation and co-financing of the Ombudsman for Children, Marek Michalak.

An exhibition dedicated to David Bajgelman, a colourful and important person in the musical world of the Polish interwar period and the war years. Musician, composer and conductor for many years connected with Łódź. He composed theatre and cabaret music, managed many orchestras, wrote popular hits, but in the first place he will be remembered as the author of the poignant “musical stories” of the Holocaust - songs that were created in the Łódź ghetto. In order to commemorate him, on the occasion of the 74th anniversary of the liquidation of the ghetto, we dedicated three projects to him: an exhibition and two concerts.

"... God closed the world and it's night everywhere ..." the words of one of his songs created in the Łódź ghetto say everything, create a tragic picture of the times and the last years of the life of a great Jewish artist.

"A free man, an intellectual, a writer and a truly free poet who wants to be free, will have something of a hooligan in him to the end of this world. Flaubert, already old, wrote in one of his letters:" All banners were soiled with blood and shit, that there would be time to have none. "Isn't that a typical hooligan sentence? Well, as a hooligan of freedom, I don't want to give in to control." Andrzej Bobkowski, from a letter to his uncle.

The exhibition is dedicated to Andrzej Bobkowski (1913-1961) who spent almost all of his adult life outside of Poland - first in France, then in Guatemala. He was first of all the author of "Sketched with the Quill", which was published by the Literary Institute in Paris in 1957 - This is one of the most important books published by the Institute. And not only because of its literary values, but also because of the very interesting reflections contained in it regarding the evaluation of the political situation after the lost war - emphasized Jerzy Giedroyc, editor of Polish “Kultura” press. Bobkowski also wrote a play "Black Sand" (1959) and a lot of short stories, sketches and notes scattered throughout various magazines, and then collected in books. His works in prose were published not only in the Paris “Kultura” press and London’s “Wiadomości” press, but also in the national press.  In the 1940s, he published, among others in “Tygodnik Powszechny”, “Dziś i Jutro”, “Twórczość” i “Nowiny Literackie”. His short stories were first published in “Kultura” press. Eventually they were published as a whole by Literary Institute in Paris in 1970 entitled “Coco de Oro: Sketches and Short Stories”. In 1994, “The Stories and Sketches” were published, which mainly featured essays from “Wiadomości” and “Tygodnik Powszechny”. Bobkowski is also the author of hundreds of wonderful letters that are being gradually published, including those addressed among others to Jerzy Giedroyc, Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz and Tymon Terlecki.

An exhibition about Artur Szyk (1894-1951), a world-renowned artist of miniatures, caricatures, and book illustrator. He was the creator of illustrations, among others to the "Statute of Kalish", "The Haggadah", many biblical miniatures, fairy tales e.g. by Hans Christian Andersen, as well as anti-Nazi caricatures known as "The New Order".

Artur Szyk (1894-1951) was born in Łódź, on June 16, 1894. He was one of the most interesting and surprising artists of pre-war Łódź. In art history he is primarily known for having been a master of miniatures and author of anti-fascist posters. He illustrated, among others "The Haggadah", "Book of Esther", "Song of Songs" or "Statute of Kalisz", where in 45 pages he presented miniatures on Polish-Jewish history starting from the 13th century when Jews in Poland were granted the Kalisz Statute by Prince Bolesław the Pious, a privilege that defined their legal status up to modern times.
