At the Evangelical-Methodist Church of the Republic of Poland, an exhibition of photographs from the National Archives in Łódź will be presented, entitled “Children from the Łódź Ghetto”. The exhibition, prepared as part of the celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the liquidation of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto (2004), consists of photographs taken by Mendel Grosman and Henryk Ross.
The theme of these moving, black-and-white photographs is the life of children in the Łódź ghetto. The exhibition also contains fragments of memoirs and poems written by Jewish children from 1939-44, by Abram Cytryn, Abram Koplowicz, Dawid Sierakowiak and Sara Zyskind.
