The Kraków Poetry Lounge is an initiative of the Kraków actress Anna Dymna, carried out since January 2002. The lounge sessions are organized on one selected Sunday of the month at 12:30. Actors are accompanied by live music performed by lecturers and students of the Academy of Music in Łódź. Sunday's meetings of the Kraków Poetry Lounge in Łódź have become a permanent part of the cultural landscape of our city and we felt obliged to join in the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the Liquidation of the Lodz Ghetto. We want to confront today's residents of our city with little-known poems or excerpts from diaries of people who worked in the Łódź ghetto. The artistic supervisor over the Poetry Lounge from Litzmanstadt Ghetto is Maciej Wojtyszko. Katarzyna Mańko is the author of the concept of the Lounge, also responsible for the selection of authors.

The following authors' works will be used in the programme: Abraham Cytryn, Abraham Koplowicz, Melanie Fogelbaum, Alice de Buton, Rywa Kwiatkowska, Symcha Buenem Szajewicz, Jerachmil Bryks.

The works will be read by actresses and actors of the New Theatre in Łódź, with accompanying performances by Izabela Połońska (vocals) and Leszek Kołodziejski (accordion).
