There is no library without books.
The Living Library is therefore based on cooperation with Living Books - people who stand out from the society, with minorities seen through the prism of harmful stereotypes and experiencing discrimination. Anyone can become a reader - you just need to register in place and get a library card. Then you can borrow the selected Book and talk with them for 30 minutes. All questions are allowed - of course, respecting the principles of personal culture and respect for the other person.
The event is organized by the Dialogue Center and the Equality Factory.

On November 5, Sunday, at 12:00 pm, we encourage the whole family to participate in a creative workshop entitled "How old is old age?" (5+) on designing old age, conducted in the spirit of theater pedagogy, engaging imagination, intuition, body, voice and group energy.

How do we imagine our future and our old age?

How can we work with the "new old age" in the future today?

Can activating the old/old in ourselves be as exciting as traveling into space?

We will consider what old age is and where we meet it, what we hear about it. We will check if it is possible to talk with old age and what we want to ask it. Using the body, gestures and imagination, we will set in motion fantasies about our futures and old age. We will build a common estate of the future "New Old Age" and invent an estate game for neighbors and neighbors.

The workshop will be led in Polish by Iga Dzięgielewska - cultural education specialist at the Halina and Jan Machulski Ochota Theater in Warsaw. She has worked with TR Warsaw, Children's Art Center in Poznan, Sto Pociech Foundation, Powszechny Theater, Ognisko teatralne "u Machulskich", European Solidarity Center, Nowy Theater in Warsaw, Great Histories Association, Józef Piłsudski Museum in Sulejówek, Theater Institute. She is a graduate of cultural studies at Warsaw University.

On November 9 (Thursday) at 6:00 pm we invite you to the Dialogue Center for an event in the series TALKING THE WORLD / With War in the Background.

The meeting aims to provide a historical and contemporary take on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It will be held in Polish.

Due to the fact that the situation in the area is extremely complicated and multidimensional, we have invited experts - Dr. Krzysztof Zdulski from the University of Lodz and Dr. Jaroslaw Jarzabek from the University of Wroclaw - to join the discussion.

Dr. Krzysztof Zdulski - Assistant Professor, Department of Middle East and North Africa, Faculty of International and Political Studies, University of Lodz.
His interests focus primarily on Turkey's situation in the politics of the superpowers in the 20th century, the history of international relations in the interwar period and during World War II, and military history in the 20th century.

Dr. Jaroslaw Jarzabek is a graduate of the Institute of International Studies at the University of Wroclaw , Ph. (Doctoral dissertation entitled Palestinians - the road to independence. Transition, development and crisis of the Palestinian national movement). Research interests: international relations and internal politics of Southwest Asian countries, Israeli-Palestinian conflict and Palestinian independence aspirations, human rights and issues of national minorities, culture and religion in Arab countries.
