In November 1941, on the territory of the Lodz Ghetto, there was a small area isolated – so called the Gypsy Camp (Zigeunerlager). Germans closed there more than 5 thousands of Gypsies – Roma and Sinti – brought from Burgenland on the Austrian-Hungary borderland.

On 8th January, a conference "Responsibility to Protect - the Legacy of Jan Karski" and an exhibition called “Jan Karski. The man of freedom” ("The World knew - Jan Karski's Mission for Humanity") were held in the European Parliament.

We would like to invite you to the 69th anniversary of the liquidation of the Litzmannstadt Ghetto. The main events will be associated with Alte Szil synagogue, that has been destroyed in 1939.
