In November 1941, on the territory of the Lodz Ghetto, there was a small area isolated – so called the Gypsy Camp (Zigeunerlager). Germans closed there more than 5 thousands of Gypsies – Roma and Sinti – brought from Burgenland on the Austrian-Hungary borderland.

On 7th January 2014, the Marek Edelman Center for Dialogue started to function in the new location on 83 Wojska Polskiego St. Please, follow our website for more information about our upcoming events in the new venue.

On 8th January, a conference "Responsibility to Protect - the Legacy of Jan Karski" and an exhibition called “Jan Karski. The man of freedom” ("The World knew - Jan Karski's Mission for Humanity") were held in the European Parliament.
